If you were to paint/powdercoat your calipers which color would you go with? I’ve briefly considered doing Acid Green on the Mustang.

I want to paint my e30 calipers gold/bronze eventually. I think it would look good with black paint and tan interior.

Black as it’s the best color for cooling down the caliper.

Black car, black interior, black rims, and black calipers? Might be too much black.

That would look pretty good, go for it.

The silliest way to add some color...

I’m sure these would last all of 500 miles before they are shredded or so dirty that they look like regular tires.

I personally would go for black. Not that you can really see the calipers anyway. Plus drum brakes in any other color are stupid.

If I upgrade to ATE style front calipers I will for sure. The current calipers are already black so I’m not sure I feel like stripping and repainting. I imagine it would take me a lot more paint going over the black.

I painted my calipers the usual shade of red, but I regret it. It doesn’t match my car’s body color. I’m not sure if it would have been good to try and match it, though. Right now, I’m wishing that I had painted them black. Black seems to go good with just about anything.
The more I think about it, neutral “colors” like white, black, or grey cars could use a little color in their calipers, and red or green or blue or whatever would look great on them. But if the car already has some color, then I think black or silver calipers look better.

I thought about black too but, everything is black already, a little bit of color on the calipers would be nice. I don’t think I’ll actually get around to doing it though.

Yeah if your car is already black, some color on the calipers would pop nicely. And it’s hard to go wrong with a color choice. Just as black goes good with just about anything, just about anything would go good with black.
Except white. I don’t think white calipers are ever a good idea.

Anything but acid green? I would go with something that hides the dust and doesn’t stick out like a wedding dick, but that’s just me. I like color coordination or thematic consistency.

I think blue good look nice. I also think acid green could look nice. I think red is overdone.
